WhatsApp has a trick that very few people know today to be able to download the WhatsApp statuses that our contacts publish without having to download an application for it.

There are methods in which we could copy those statuses and make them ours, as could be taking a screenshot or screen recording, however by making these copies we are losing the original quality.

In our file manager we have different folders (some are hidden) which most users of this application are unaware of and in which you can do real stunts. All material that we send, receive or visualize in any way in WhatsApp is recorded and most of this information is automatically saved in our internal folders of this application.

Here we are going to show you the brief and simple steps we have to do to download WhatsApp statuses:.

1. Open the File Manager folder of our mobile device
2. Find the WhatsApp –> Media folder.
3. In the settings (3 dots located in the upper right corner of our screen) –> Show hidden files
4. Once here we will see the Statuses folder and we will have those images or videos that we can download

That said, it is well to remember that these WhatsApp statuses have a limited time duration and can only be active for viewing for 24 hours. Once that time has passed, these statuses, whether videos or images, will disappear from our device and we will no longer be able to view them.

Therefore, we should keep in mind that these statuses will remain in our file manager folder for the same amount of time that they are available for our viewing. What do we mean by this?

That we can only download the WhatsApp statuses of our contacts in the same time they are available for our viewing, once those 24 hours are over and disappear, they will also disappear from this hidden folder.

With this option what we avoid, is having to lose image in the quality of the video/photo that we want to obtain by making a screenshot/recording or having to be embarrassed asking for that information to the contact in question.
