1. We go to the WhatsApp profile of the contact we want to delete, to go to the profile of a contact we click on the profile picture and it will open its profile with its number, status, etc. In the case of not having started any conversation with that contact, we have to go to the main menu, click on the bottom right to create a new chat and select the contact we want to delete.
2. Once we are inside the contact’s profile we go to the three points at the top right and click on edit.
3. In the edit screen, click on the three dots again and you will see the option to delete the contact.

When we delete a contact we will save the previous conversations we have had, if our purpose is to delete that contact forever we recommend deleting the conversation to save memory both in the mobile and in the backups.
