To block a contact in WhatsApp is very simple. Blocking a contact in WhatsApp will make the contact we have blocked unable to send us any message or make any call. We have two options to block contacts, one to select a single contact we want to block and another that will allow us to block multiple contacts at once. If we decide to block a contact we must take into account that just as that contact will not be able to send us messages we will not have that option available, a blocked contact may try to send messages but you will not get, just as we can not send any message, before we can write anything we will see a message saying that the contact is blocked.

How to block a contact in WhatsApp

The first option is the most simple to block a contact. First of all we have to go to the profile of the person we want to block and if we scroll down we will find the option to block the contact, which will be blocked forever unless we decide to remove the block, something that can be done from the menu that we will use in the second option.

The second option will be more useful to block several contacts at once. We have to go to settings>account>privacy and blocked contacts. From this menu at the top right we can select the contacts we want to block and that are in our contact list. This same menu also serves to unblock a WhatsApp contact.
